This page serves as a history of fires in New Hampshire. It is always a work in progress, with thousands of fires in the state over the years. Where articles exist, links will be added to the page, by year and then by town. Also included will be links to photos, fire audio, or other information about the fire.
Note about “working fires:” Some departments consider a working fire a specific alarm level between a still/first alarm and a second alarm. For lack of a better way to differentiate all single-alarm fires from single-alarm reported fires, the term “working fire” on this page refers to any scene with active fire which did not get upgraded to a second alarm. Chimney fire have been excluded from this page (unless there was extension to the structure), as have brush fires (same exception).
